$74,000 Raised for Show Me Scholars & Tech Masters Scholarships

Rolla (4/19/2024) Wednesday, April 17 was a truly special day as the Rolla Chamber of Commerce honored 74 incredible RHS graduates with the prestigious Show Me Scholars & Tech Masters designation. Each student received cords and a medallion to proudly wear during their graduation ceremony.

One of the most exciting aspects of the program is the opportunity for scholarships. Each student who graduates in the program is eligible for the scholarships the Rolla Chamber raises. Scholarship recipients are selected each year randomly.

Scholarship fundraisers include Bulldog Pride Night, St. Pat’s 5K, Chamber membership voluntary roundup donation, donations from community members and local businesses, and new this year was the side-by-side raffle with the donation from Bluefish Screen Printing and Ed Morse Power Sports.

At the start of the luncheon, the Chamber had raised $62,000. Through the excitement during the event, more donations were given, and more scholarships sponsored. As the event came to a finish, all 74 students received a scholarship. In total, $74,000 was raised thanks to the unwavering support of our local businesses and individuals.

Please join the Rolla Chamber in expressing gratitude to everyone who has played a part in this remarkable journey.
