Phelps Health Offering Medicare Advantage Program to Better Serve Local Seniors

ROLLA, Mo. — Phelps Health is proud to announce the launch of our own Medicare Advantage (HMO) plan, offering local seniors a new option for their healthcare coverage.
Phelps Health is partnering with Cox HealthPlans to offer the plan to eligible individuals in Crawford, Dent, Maries, Phelps and Pulaski counties.
Branded and marketed as Phelps Health Medicare Advantage (HMO), the plan will focus on:

• Excellent customer service
• Accurate and timely claims payment
• Expert medical management utilizing Phelps Health’s network of providers

“This is a natural next step for Phelps Health,” said Jason Shenefield, President and CEO of Phelps Health. “We’re deeply committed to caring for our community, and now we can do even more by offering a Medicare Advantage plan that puts seniors first—from preventive care to chronic disease support, and everything in between.”
Designed specifically for people aged 65 and older in our region, the new plan aims to provide more coordinated care, expanded benefits and a simpler healthcare experience—all backed by the Phelps Health providers and facilities that patients already know and trust.
The Phelps Health Medicare Advantage plan will be available during the 2026 Annual Enrollment Period, which begins October 15 and runs through December 7. Coverage begins January 1, 2026.
